My student goes to Poudre High School or Fossil Ridge High School but lives within the boundaries of the new Timnath or Wellington middle/high schools. Can they request busing to and from Poudre or Fossil?
No. PSD opened the new Wellington and Timnath middle/high schools in August 2022. Incoming freshmen, sophomores and juniors who attend Poudre High School or Fossil Ridge High School but live in the Wellington or Timnath attendance areas are not eligible for busing to Poudre or Fossil Ridge.
My student was accepted to a school of choice. They were eligible for busing to and from their neighborhood school. Do their services transfer from the neighborhood to their choice school?
No. Busing is NOT provided for 澳洲幸运10 who attend a school of choice or PSD-authorized charter school. If your student is eligible for busing at their neighborhood school but is switching to a school of choice, they will not receive busing.
If my student was previously approved for and currently receives busing, do I need to submit a request for the 2024-25 school year?
Yes. To ensure that families needing transportation receive this service, riders must apply for busing each year.
When will I find out if my student is approved for bus services for the 2024-25 school year?
Families will be notified a week before school starts if their student is scheduled to receive busing starting the first day of the 2024-25 school year.
Why does PSD have a bus request process?
The request process enables the Transportation Department to assess the current demand for services and provide busing based upon those needs.
How long do I have to apply for busing through this portal?
The busing request portal will be open from April 29 to July 15. The portal will not be available July 16 through Aug. 16 to leave time for routing adjustments. Riders will be notified up to the week before school starts.

If my student doesn’t receive services for the start of the school year, is there a possibility that they might be approved at another point during the school year?
We anticipate being able to honor all bus-eligible requests submitted by July 15. Bus-eligible requests submitted after July 15 will be evaluated as they are received and assigned as busing is available.
